WILMINGTON, Mass. — The Bruins this morning announced that winger Brian McGrattan has been assigned to Providence (AHL) for conditioning.

There’s proof that even fighters can gather a little rust. McGrattan has been a healthy scratch for the season’s first seven games.

McGrattan is scheduled to rejoin Boston Monday, Nov. 1.
