More league love for Thomas
One day after the NHL named him last week’s First Star, Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas was today named the Second Star for the month of October. Steven Stamkos of Tampa Bay was named the First Star.

One of the best starts for a goalie all time, versus numbers that one of the big names gets every year. I don’t know what else Timmy had to do.
I think Thomas should have been the first star, but Stamkos has had a great month too. At least the first star was a reasonable selection, albeit the wrong one.
