The Bruins came back to Earth a little bit this week, as they ran their winning streak to three but finished the week 1-1-1 after losses to Washington and St. Louis.
Although it was mostly the fault of the players in front of him, goaltender Tim Thomas allowed as many goals Friday to the Capitals as he did in his first six starts. That means he won’t be the Bruin of the Week for a third straight week.
Here’s a look at this week’s candidates. Your chance to vote is below the descriptions.
Brad Marchand posted 1-3-4 totals and a plus-3 rating while doling out six hits. He also drew a key penalty during the ill-fated comeback at Washington.
Michael Ryder scored twice and added two assists while posting a plus-1 rating. He assisted on Gregory Campbell’s game-tying goal against the Blues. He was credited with two hits.
Two solid showings in fights made Mark Stuart’s week even better. He also tallied an assist and posted a plus-2 rating.
Campbell’s first goal of the year earned the Bruins a point Saturday vs. St. Louis. He added an assist in Buffalo and had an even plus/minus for the week.
