Recchi
It seems that third-period deficits mean absolutely nothing to these Bruins.
For the third game in a row, Boston rallied to tie the score in the last stanza. But this time, they emerged with the two points.
The Bruins won their first-ever game at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, 7-4. Here’s a quick glance at the box score:
•In front of plenty of friends and family, against the team he started his NHL career with some 22 years ago, and on the day his head coach Claude Julien decided it was time to reveal he had double-super-secret knee surgery over the summer, 42-year-old Mark Recchi erupted. He scored his first goal of the season and added two assists.
•Tim Thomas made 42 saves, including 12 during a shutout third period.
•Patrice Bergeron won 67 percent of the 27 faceoffs he took and added two assists.

Grat game last night and how about Brad Marchand again! The Grown up Brick from the series the Middle has been outstanding! Hope Recchi his game back and Wheeler keep up with the points.
Am I the only one to think the Boychuk injury is really hurting the team’s defense? Ever since Boychuk went down, the defense had been awful. Outside of Chara and Seidenberg, all the other guys are average at best. (that’s being nice).
Matt, any rumors about who the Bruins might go after and what they should do about the cap situation.
Paille is awful, I feel bad for Seguin to skate with him and Ryder. Ryder at least has a nice wrist shot.
Recchi probably had his best game too
it’s the soup line.

a classic. the ice had pits of fail along the boards, but I don’t exactly feel bad for Pittsburgh for the fact that they have to play on it, nor for the fact that they got swept under the shifted tide.
Happy for Recchi. Let’s hope this gets him rolling!
Excellent win in PITT. Best vengence is pucks in the net! Thomas got it done when it matter most and the “4th” line is outstanding yet again! They need a nickname…… the whoop your ass line or something.
RECCHIN BALL!!!
