Seguin/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — While he made his NHL exhibition debut at the Bell Centre in Montreal in September, Bruins rookie Tyler Seguin had never tasted the regular-season version of a Bruins-Canadiens tilt until tonight.
Unfortunately for the No. 2 overall pick, the Bruins ran out of gas in the third period and fell at TD Garden, 3-1, to the hated Habs. However, now he’ll be able to say he’s played a part in the hottest rivalry in the NHL.
Here’s what Seguin had to say after the game:

Went to game last night. He shows flashes for sure, but he is definitely 18 and definitely has a ton to learn. He is lost in the defensive zone. The problem for him now is they can’t get out of their own zone when he is on the ice. Part of it is him, and part of it is that sack known as Ryder. He spends his whole shift chasing the puck around in his own zone.
That said, he may be the fastest, smoothest skater on the ice for every game. And he snaps his wrist shot off real, real quick.
