BOSTON — In a shootout loss that felt like a win the Bruins earned just one point in the standings against Los Angeles tonight at TD Garden.
After the Bruins rallied from 3-0 down to tie the score, the Kings outlasted Boston, 1-0, in a six-round shootout. It was the third straight time LA goaltender Jonathan Quick beat Bruins netminder Tim Thomas in a shootout.
Here’s a quick glance at the box score:
•Blake Wheeler assisted on Patrice Bergeron’s game-tying power-play goal and also scored his fourth goal of the season.
•The Bruins won 63 percent of their faceoffs against a traditionally proficient Los Angeles team. Bergeron won 74 percent, while David Krejci won 71.
•Boston attempted 78 shots, including 41 on net.
