BOSTON — After weeks of skating on his own and with other injured teammates, Bruins center Marc Savard took the morning skate with the full squad today at TD Garden.
“I think I’m still a little behind training camp,” said Savard about his conditioning one day after he was finally cleared to practice with the team. “I’ve still got a little ways to go. But I’ve definitely come a long way and I did all my tests from training camp.”
“Nothing’s like skating with the guys,” he continued. “Even today, they were moving pretty quick. I’ve got to keep skating. It’s going to take a little time here, I know.”
Savard, returning from a bout with post-concussion syndrome, said that he still has to see another doctor in a couple weeks before he can get into contact drills and then start targeting a return to the lineup.
