I also like Wheeler better at Center… and using him at center puts Seguin at wing. Another plus. That said – I still don’t like Wheeler (even this more physical version), and hope he is traded.. and I’m also sick of CJ wasting Seguin’s obvious offensive skills playing with the likes of Hammer Hands Paille.
With the Bruins frequently suffering from slow starts and having to play from behind almost every game, do you think that upper management will force The Claude to start to limit ice time in a “fire lighting” capacity or might they take even more drastic measures by putting his employment status in jeopardy?
It’s no secret that this team when playing to their full capabilites is one of the best in the league, but when they consistantly show that they need some sort of stimulation to get there on a game-by-game, period-by-period basis, it’s a sign that the coach is not getting them ready to play. Or at the very least, the players don’t feel the threat that their ever precious ice time will be shortened, hence not going as hard as they can on every shift.
Wheeler is better at center. The question becomes, is Wheeler one of your top four centers when everyone is healthy and back playing?
I realize that switching up lines can help get the message across that the players need to step it up, but recently it seems like lines are changing almost game to game. How can CJ expect any chemistry when guys don’t play more than two games together?
Also, is it just me or does Wheeler seem to be playing a more physical and consistent game as a center? I know as a team overloaded at that position, he probably won’t be there for long, but I would rather have Seguin at wing and Wheels at center until Savvy comes back and Krejci is 100%.
“caliper!” too funny. as much as they will retain enough to build for the future, they still need to work hard on a championship this season. they can do it, but they must work on scoring, for sure. adding a sniper won’t hurt. keeping Horton happy and healthy are keys, too.
Do the Bruins have enough offense to be considered a championship caliper team?
If not, should they use whatever assets they currently have and “go for the gusto”? Or, should they be patient and continue to improve through drafting and player development
