Savard/By S. Bradley

Although he won’t get to be part of the Bruins’ revenge game in Philadelphia tonight, center Marc Savard might get to face  the Tampa Bay Lightning or at worst the Toronto Maple Leafs from the sound of things.

Bruins head coach Claude Julien provided the media in Philadelphia with an update on Savard after Savard skated in an optional skate down there.

“He’s become almost a day-to-day situation, with different reasons for holding him back,” said the coach. “And I think that situation hopefully will come sooner than later. I think we’re all looking forward to having him in our lineup and he’s looking better and better every day.”

The Bruins host the Lightning Thursday night and visit the Leafs Saturday. You can consider the “Savard Watch” in high gear now.
