Bruins center Marc Savard has been more than generous with his time with the local media, including, leading up to and after his comeback from post-concussion syndrome.

But often in a 1-on-1 setting, particularly with Elliotte Friedman of the CBC and Hockey Night in Canada, players tend to open up even more.

Tonight Savard was the topic of Friedman’s “Inside Hockey” segment on the HNIC pregame show. In the interview, Savard revealed that he had agreed to play for Ottawa and Toronto leading up to the draft last June, and that the people he thanks the most for getting through his recent tough times are his ex-wife and children.
