Poll result: Lucic’s powered-up week earns him Bruin of the Week honors

Lucic/By S. Bradley
Last week, I declared that Bruins winger Milan Lucic might be the best power forward in the game right now.
His results last week did little to change my mind. Lucic posted 3-1-4 totals in three games. For his efforts, readers of TheBruinsBlog.net voted him the Bruin of the Week.
Here’s how the vote panned out:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Milan Lucic (42%, 29 Votes)
- Tim Thomas (32%, 22 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (20%, 14 Votes)
- Andrew Ference (6%, 4 Votes)
Total Voters: 69
Lucic now has 15 goals, which leads the Bruins and is almost twice as many goals as Boston’s leading goal-scorer through 28 games last season. He is also the club’s points leader with 26.
His career-high point total of 42, set in 2008-09, is well on its way to being shattered. He’s even shown a knack for coming through in the clutch with three game-winning goals (although to be fair, he has four empty-net goals).
Lucic’s fight total and penalty-minute numbers might be down, but his career is still taking off.
Bruin of the Week is presented by Sully’s.
Looch certainly isn’t a bad pick but I was leaning more towards Horton and his two, 3rd period, OT forcing goals last week vs Buffalo and Philadelphia.
wisdom of the crowd is correct again. wouldn’t have won two last week without looch’s efforts. pts trump pims.
