Health willing, goaltender Tim Thomas will get a chance to continue his All-Star Game winning streak in Raleigh later this month.

Thomas was one of three Bruins players selected today to represent the Black and Gold during All-Star weekend Jan. 28-30.

Defenseman Zdeno Chara was also among the group of 36 additional All-Stars named, while Tyler Seguin was one of 12 rookies picked to partake in the SuperSkills competition.

Now headed to the All-Star Game for the third time, Thomas has been the winning netminder in the last two midseason classics (2008, 2009). Chara will be making his fifth All-Star appearance.

The 36 All-Stars named today and the five starters voted on and announced last week will be divided up into two teams at the NHL All-Star Weekend Jan. 28. Captains will be named next week and those team leaders will stage a draft in Raleigh.
