Final score: Bruins 7, Philadelphia 5

Boucher couldn't stop Kampfer's shot/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — If the Bruins’ game plan is too conservative, how many goals would they score if they were let loose?
The Bruins squandered one one-goal lead and battled back from two other single-goal deficits to outscore Philadelphia, 7-5, tonight at TD Garden.
Combined with their 6-0 win over Ottawa Tuesday, Boston has scored 13 goals in its last two games. The Bruins have scored six or more goals in three of their last six games.
Steven Kampfer scored the game-winning goal with 1:14 left in the third period.
Here’s a glance at the rest of the box score:
•Kampfer now has four goals in his last nine games.
•Patrice Bergeron recorded a goal and an assist to run his points streak to five games. Over that span he has 6-4-10 totals.
•Defenseman Zdeno Chara has a four-game point streak. He has 2-3-5 totals over that period.
From the previous post: “It’s time to win a game over the Flyers that doesn’t require a super-human effort from between the pipes…”
Well, you certainly had your wish granted there MK. ;-D
Awesome win and a fun game to watch! Watched the first period in a bar, had to listen to the second on the ride home, but was able to catch the third on the couch. So I can only really comment on what I saw.
Nice to see Kampfer get the GWG. Nice to see Boychuck, in his final shift, make up for letting the play get behind him on the O’Donnell goal.
Savvy made a fake shot and great pass to set up the Chara goal in the first on the 5-on-3.
I think the PP could benefit from shrinking down the box and passing lanes a bit more 5-on-4. Shorter passes, more aggressive seam attacks with quick shots, and I think the PP will be out of its funk.
Great win!
Anyone else think that the Flyers might be the new Caps? How many games have they been in this year, albeit on the winning side, that have baseball scores. I don’t get how a team with that much $ comitted to the back end, gives up so many goals. I know that there are question marks in net, but they were there last year too. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Given that they were the second highest scoring team two years ago, the criticism that Juliens system doesnt yield goals isn’t valid. I think th difference is how much the players are playing with confidence as well as an added contribution of grit from the likes of Marchand with more playing time on a line with an red-hot Bergeron, and, yes, the likes of Nathan Horton in the last few games (he’s playing big and with Savard and Ryder is creating a lot of chances — it’s only a matter of time).
Savard is also playing a ton better and making smarter plays. I like Ryder on that line right now. He is showing his play-making skills which people don’t give him enough credit for.
Seguin is playing with more confidence as well.
It will be very hard to move Marchand down to the fourth line again…but the question is, what to when Lucic comes back?
I like all of their lines the last two games and three periods (with the exception being the first period in pitts).
