WILMINGTON, Mass. — Some folks in New England might’ve lost sleep last night over whether Bruins star Marc Savard would be able to catch some z’s.
Those folks can rest assured today that Savard feels fine after the high hit he took yesterday in Boston’s loss to Pittsburgh at TD Garden.
Savard was, by his own admission, a bit woozy after the high hit from Deryk Engelland rammed his head into the side glass and dasher in the third period. Today after practice at Ristuccia Arena, Savard said he came through the aftermath of the game in perfect condition, except for a sore neck.
“Everything’s fine,” said Savard, who returned from post-concussion syndrome in early December.
Savard said he watched a replay of the hit on Hockey Night and Canada and could tell it was a pretty solid hit.
“That’s a good sign that nothing happened [afterward],” said Savard.
