You vote: Bruin of the Week

Poll presented by Sully's Brand

It was a great four-game week for the Bruins, as they accumulated six of a possible eight standings points by virtue of their three wins.

Even in defeat, the Bruins fought hard and just came one goal short against Pittsburgh Saturday.

So picking a Bruin of the Week might be difficult based on the team’s success. Here’s a look at the candidates:

Seemingly the perfect fit for the Bruins as a fourth-line center, Gregory Campbell provided some unexpected offense this week. Both of his goals were empty-netters, but he posted 2-4-6 totals and a plus-1 rating. He also won 18 of 30 faceoffs (60 percent).

Patrice Bergeron’s first NHL hat trick was one of many highlights this week for the veteran center. He posted 4-3-7 totals and a plus-6 rating for the week, while winning 46 of 71 faceoffs (65 percent).

The Bruins have been looking for more offense from their defensemen all season, and this week Dennis Seidenberg delivered. He enjoyed two multi-point games and finished with 1-4-5 totals. He was a plus-2 and blocked 10 shots to add to his team-leading total in that department.

Almost lost in the Bruins’ rout of Ottawa was that Tim Thomas set a new career-high with his sixth shutout of the season. He stopped 31 of 31 shots that night and then made some big saves despite allowing five goals on 35 shots against Philadelphia. He also added an assist against the Flyers.

So I ask you my readers:

Who should be the Bruin of the Week?

  • Patrice Bergeron (87%, 81 Votes)
  • Gregory Campbell (8%, 7 Votes)
  • Dennis Seidenberg (3%, 3 Votes)
  • Tim Thomas (2%, 2 Votes)
