The All-Star Game should Tim Thomas its daddy.
Boston’s veteran goaltender owns the midseason classic.
For the third straight time, Thomas’ team won the All-Star Game and he earned the victory in net, as today Team Lidstrom beat Team Staal, 11-10, in Raleigh, N.C.
Thomas made 11 saves on 15 shots to earn the victory. Previously, he earned the win in East-West battles in Atlanta and Montreal. There was no All-Star Game last season because of the Olympic break.
Here’s a glance at the rest of the box score:
•Skating for Team Staal defenseman Zdeno Chara logged 21:07 of ice time, recorded two assists and was plus-1.
•Chicago forward Patrick Sharp was the MVP of the game despite the loss of his team. Sharp registered one goal, two assists and a plus-2 rating.
•Nicklas Lidstrom was a plus-7 and Shea Weber a plus-6.
