BOSTON –Well, if we’ve learned anything it’s that it is possible to keep a rivalry stoked even when the unbalanced NHL keeps two teams in opposite conferences from meeting more than once a year.

The Bruins and Dallas Stars matched the intensity of their game from two years ago at TD Garden tonight in a 6-3 Boston victory, with four fights and 49 credited hits and one Rule 48 violation by Boston winger Daniel Paille.
