WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins center Patrice Bergeron left practice early today after he took a Johnny Boychuk chip up the wall off his chin.
Bergeron was taken to the hospital for stitches and precautionary X-rays.
Meanwhile, fellow center David Krejci said he received a few new sticks from Bauer to tide him over. The company wasn’t too happy he went public with his complaints after Saturday’s loss to San Jose, but in the end Krejci’s voiced displeasure benefited him.
Here’s how the lines looked for practice, including the newly recalled Jordan Caron.
Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi
Wheeler-Hamill-Ryder/Seguin
Caron/Paille-Campbell-Thornton
All seven D and both goaltenders were also on the ice.

When Seguin was in the OHL and on the third line he didn’t produce. Instead of demoting or sitting Seguin, they moved him to the top line. This is where he flourished. It is an absolute injustice if he is a healthy scratch in place of other rookies. Julien should try it for a game with Seguin between Lucic and Horton and a Wheeler-Krejci-Ryder line. Those two big bodies can take care of him. And maybe, just maybe these lines will be magic. Just try it. We can afford to for a couple games. It worked before for Seguin.
Seguin as a healthy scratch on a consistent basis is a mistake
figured paille would have given af stiches by now. jones and milbury were still talking about it last night on vs. and very anti-tree hugger.
