Banged up and bruised, but ready for a double-dip with Detroit
WILMINGTON, Mass. — Almost miraculously, the Bruins came out of last night’s game with Montreal unscathed.
Oh sure, David Krejci got a few stitches in his cut lip, and Andrew Ference was sporting some threat to seal a cut in the corner of his left eye. But after a fight-filled victory featuring almost 200 penalty minutes, everyone took the ice for practice today, and according to head coach Claude Julien, everyone will be available for the first half of a home-and-home series with Detroit tomorrow night at TD Garden.
Center Gregory Campbell broke his stick over the crossbar and stormed off after practice. But before Don Cherry takes that action as a sign the Bruins aren’t getting along, it was all done in good nature after Campbell failed a few times to score from in front of the net during a post-practice game the team was playing with blocks stacked up leaving just about eight inches of shooting room on the net.
The lines were the same as last night, with healthy scratch Tyler Seguin rotating in on Zach Hamill’s line.
Greg please pay attention..He got his but kicked in dallas doesnt produce offensively and cant shoot at an empty net with blocks stacked up .Maybe claude owes his brother a favor…
Murray could have gotten the picks and a warm body from some other teams. It’s just a matter of a classy GM treating a loyal player with respect. Say what you want about Bryan Murray but the guy is honest and fair.
I think Souray is injured again as well. Too slow anyway. As for Fisher, the Sens would have been looking for more from a divisional opponent. Probably those picks + a roster guy/prospect or something. Nashville was much safer.
ribzzy – wrong, wrong again, read the whole article.
I like Campbell.
Cambell cant fight cant score and now looks like he doesn’t practice very well either why does he have a b on his chest?

If you caught the NESN feed Jack Edwards and Brick were lauging to. I believe Edwards stated that there were all Canadian born Bruins on the ice during a USA chant. I really hope you can see the humor, but then again the Canadian anthem has never been booed at the Garden.
mcCabe is on ir
2011/01/21 Facial injury, injured reserve.
2011/01/17 Facial surgery, sidelined indefinitely.
Love your blog, but please simmer on the Don Cherry comments. Getting a little obsessive. Probabaly a lot of Canadian readers on here and he is an icon in our country. We follow the hockey code up here.
Also maybe tell your readers to simmer on the USA chants. Our feed in Canada of the Habs-Bruins game the announcers were laughing at this since there are a ton of Canadians on the Bruins and more Americans on the Habs. Makes no sense. Save it for basketball and baseball or national games.
NYR passed on him, too slow. We need more speed!!!
McCabe would be nice, but he is pricey.

One name I haven’t heard. I’m sure he would come fairly cheap. Sheldon Souray. I know his contract is an albatross but…. I’m just putting it out there. Not endorsing him or anything. Just gauging reaction.
I would love to get Corvo!
Hey good eye or ear Bruno. I think that’s a fair price. A first and a conditional. The Sens kept him out of their division for future matchups. It’s not a lock that Nashville even gets in. This was a team with so much promise not long ago. They never recovered from losing a big Slovakian D-man.
Corvo? Don’t think Carolina is a seller. They’re in the playoffs. Penner, maybe.
what do you think about corvo and penner as possible trade objects? both have playoff-experience, they are less vulnerable than other available players, don´t care about my english, i´m german
Preds got Fisher for practically nothing. I’m sure the wife was excited to move to Nashville. Enjoy the first-round playoff exit, Mike.
Gregory shouldn’t be so hard on himself. Those hands were genetically made to pick tobacco. It’s in his familial DNA. I know it’s in mine too.
Hey Matt did you see Ficher is a Predator now?
