Close cut might be key to Bruins’ Kampfer’s turn around

Kampfer's sporting a Beckham
BOSTON — You can’t accuse Steven Kampfer of not being superstitious.
The Bruins rookie reported for duty today with a tight buzz cut that he hopes will change his recent run of subpar play. The Bruins host his hometown Detroit Red Wings tonight at TD Garden.
“I figured I needed to change things up,” he said after the morning skate. “I didn’t have a good couple games there.”
Kampfer recorded an assist against Montreal Wednesday, but that has been his only point in Boston’s last nine games. Maybe the new do will provide a little jump for his stride.
“They say you’ve got to be quicker on the ice,” he said. “The less hair, the more aerodynamic [I'll be].”
Hey no need to get defensive there digger
