This one hurt the Bruins/By S. Bradley
BOSTON — The good news for the Bruins is that as an Eastern Conference team they face Detroit no more than twice a season.
The bad news is that this is one of those seasons Boston takes on the Red Wings twice, and the second match-up is just two days away.
While publicly they might want another crack at the Central Division leaders, the Bruins would probably rather wait until a Stanley Cup final showdown or next season to take on the Red Wings again after the 6-1 beatdown at TD Garden tonight.
Tuukka Rask, making his first start in eight days, was pulled after two periods and five goals allowed on 19 shots.
Here’s a look at the rest of the box score:
•Todd Bertuzzi scored two of Detroit’s goals, while Henrik Zetterberg enjoyed a three-point night.
•The line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and Mark Recchi combined for a minus-9.
•David Krejci scored the Bruins’ lone goal to end a 20-game drought.
•After a five-point night Wednesday, Nathan Horton was back in form with no shots on goal, no hits and a minus-1 rating in 13:28 of ice time.

Wow giving up 12 goals in the past 2 games, hey Julien perhaps Seguin isn’t such a defensive liability huh?
