Seguin/By S. Bradley
Prior to today’s game at Detroit, Bruins head coach Claude Julien revealed a couple lineup changes from the squad that has taken the ice the last few games.
While rookie Tyler Seguin will be back in the lineup (replacing Zach Hamill) after two straight healthy scratches, fellow first-year pro Steven Kampfer will suffer his first healthy scratch. Mark Stuart, a healthy scratch the last eight games, will back in against the Red Wings.
Kampfer had been hoping to enjoy a homecoming of sorts in his native Michigan, but the coaching staff seems to have noticed the same recent deficiencies in his game as this blog. Kampfer has recorded just one assist in his last nine games.
In three games since his call-up from the Providence (AHL) farm club, Hamill has just one assist.

eddie o blamed segzy for the 2nd goal, but i thought the kid looked better. claude even had him playing late into the 3rd. i’d love to see the 3rd line get hot with him centering it. would make chia’s job easier too.
So when is Boychuk’s benching coming? I hope soon. His puck handling and the fact that he will only take a slapshot (wide of the net) is hurting the team.
Seguin looked much better today. He waas starting to get into the dirty areas which was nice to see.
Good moves. Kampfer has definitely regressed a bit and Stuart should bring some more cojones to the lineup today.
Could it be for the Bruins to also showcase No. 45 before the deadline…?
