It was a week of inconsistency and change for the Bruins.

When the dust settled, they had compiled a 2-1-0 record and added two new parts to their NHL roster while subtracting two.

All the while, there were some solid individual performances worthy of Bruin of the Week.

Mark Recchi kept on his consistent path for Boston with a point in all three games. He finished with 1-2-3 totals and a plus-2 rating despite firing just four shots on net (and one, his goal, was off his foot).

As he continued to try to crack the Calder Trophy conversation, Brad Marchand had points in two of the three games, including a two-goal performance in Ottawa. He finished the week with 2-1-3 totals and a plus-3 rating with eight shots on goal.

Although he’s pretty quiet on Boston’s back end and should now be permanently part of the Bruins’ third pair, Andrew Ference has been as reliable as they come. Friday night in Ottawa, he recorded two assists for his first multi-point game of the season. Over the course of the three games, he posted 0-3-3 totals and a plus-3 rating.

Starting on back-to-back nights for just the second time this season, Tuukka Rask shook off his rust and earned two victories. For the week, he made 65 saves on 71 shots (.915 save percentage) and once again proved Boston is a two-goaltender team.

So I ask you:
