The Bruins didn’t set off any fireworks yesterday on trade-deadline day.
They swung just one minor-league deal and will now go through the final 20 games of the regular season, plus playoffs, with the team that carries a five-game winning streak into tonight’s game at Ottawa.
In case you’re disappointed with the way things went for Boston yesterday, here’s something to cheer you up: it’s Nathan Horton’s knockout of Edmonton’s Theo Peckham from Sunday night:
Now it’s worth showing some sympathy for Peckham, who left the game and didn’t even skate on Monday. Hopefully, he’ll come around. But Horton’s rage was sparked by Peckham’s decision to hit David Krejci up high, and now we know what happens when you mess with Horton’s center.

chris from the top rope!
about time this team started to stand up for each other if they show team though ness no one will mess with our star players way to go Horton
I thought “pull a Ference” meant tweak a groin and miss 4-6 weeks…
6’2″ 229 lbs with probably 6% body fat, dude is strong and needs to use his size and strength more often. great to see him pull a Ference and come to the aid of a teammate.
@RyanBurns88 – it wasn’t much of a fight, but Horton’s one shot was explosive.
cant view at work, but ill check it out, i missed the fight on sunday
Always knew he was a big dude.. kept wondering when he’d use his bulk. Question answered.
