BOSTON — According to Damian Cristodero of the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Bay captain Vinny Lecavalier will miss tonight’s game against the Bruins at TD Garden.
The Lightning center suffered a mid-body injury last night in the loss at New Jersey. Lecavalier has 7-5-12 totals in his last nine games.

P.S. (I’ll knock on wood again for this) Smith is a stiff, let’s hope the B’s can get a lot of shots on him quick and get his confidence down.
There goes 1/4 of the team’s skill. Knock on wood, I think our grinders can out-grind their grinders… and considering the time it’ll take TBL to set up the 1-3-1, the B’s transition game is going to be even more pivotal. I like the odds of our speed vs. their speed, too.
