BOSTON — After taking two straight games off against Edmonton and Ottawa, Tim Thomas will now take a second straight start tonight when he faces Pittsburgh at TD Garden.

The veteran netminder was in goal for theĀ  Bruins’ 2-1 win over Tampa Bay Thursday night.

Thomas’ only other game against the Penguins this season was a wild 7-4 Bruins victory on the road. Tuukka Rask this season is 1-1-0 with a 2.53 goals-against average against Pittsburgh.

For his career against the Penguins, Thomas enters tonight 7-4-3 with a 2.72 GAA and .907 save percentage.
