WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins head coach Claude Julien said today that Mark Recchi missed practice due to a personal matter.
However, the forward should rejoin the team in Montreal for Tuesday night’s game.
Patrice Bergeron rejoined the team today after missing the weekend for his own personal matter.
“I feel good. It was nice to get the practice behind me,” said Bergeron, who missed last Friday’s practice and Saturday’s overtime loss to Pittsburgh.
Neither defenseman Andrew Ference (lower-body) or Steven Kampfer (concussion) skated today. There had been hope that Ference would get back on the ice yesterday or today. Julien said Ference “is not quite there yet” but is day-to-day and should be on the ice soon. Kampfer is still being held out of physical activity and says he is still experiencing headaches. Both players will remain in the Boston area when the Bruins depart for Montreal.
