Thornton's head will be shaved.
The fourth annual Cuts for a Cause to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center is scheduled for Thursday, April 7 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at Ned Devine’s in Boston.
This year, like last, Bruins forward Shawn Thornton is teaming up with 98.5 The Sports Hub to present the event, which was begun several years ago by former Bruins defenseman Aaron Ward.
Prior events allowed fans to witness the likes of Thornton, Tim Thomas Patrice Bergeron and other nicely coiffed Bruins players getting their head shaved by a generous bidder. This years list of Bruins participants will be released when the bidding opens Monday, March 21.
Tickets to the event can be purchased for $20 by emailing tickets@985thesportshub.com beginning Wednesday, March 9 at 9:00 a.m. The admission ticket includes the chance for fans to meet players and enter raffles. Depending on availability, $25 tickets might be available at the door the day of the event.

Karl, they all have a little bit of a bald spot in the back. He’s still young. Wait until he’s at the end of his Bruins contract.
kaberle ain’t going bald, matt.
There is a month to go before the big shave so I think the boys should all go “Ron Duguay” until then.

Most players are going bald, Karl. Comes with wearing helmets all the time.
