Today the Bruins’ Providence (AHL) farm club and the 29 other member clubs of the AHL released their Clear Day Period lists.
Each list contains a maximum of 22 players. Only players on the list can compete for that team for the rest of the regular season and playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise by injuries or suspensions.
Among those on the P-Bruins’ list is defenseman Steven Kampfer, who has carved out a nice rookie season as a pro for both Providence and Boston. Currently out with a concussion, Kampfer had played just a couple games for the Bruins after spending a couple as the team’s healthy scratch among a seven-deep defense corps.
Should the circumstances warrant it going forward, be it by Boston having its season ended earlier than Providence’s (highly unlikely considering the P-Bruins’ playoff chances are slimmer than Tuukka Rask) or the Bruins deciding they want Kampfer to get more seasoning once he returns from injury, Kampfer can rejoin Providence any time.
