as for the hit, it was a clean hit, no way Chara was going out of his way to injure paccioretty.
he will get suspended for sure, but it will more than likely be due to the severity of the injury.
Rounding the top of the players benches to prevent rib and other injuries. Making the transfer area to the partition softer and more absorbant. These two things could prevent injuries without changing the game. The bench area has always been a hazzard and will continue to be. Open doors and a high traffic area. I can’t really make a call on the incident because I don’t know the intent. The analysts I’ve heard seem to think it was a hockey play gone bad. I’m glad I don’t have to make the decision to be honest. I only wish we could have a Bruins/Habs game without all the crap and name calling.

Sure the history between max and zdeno should count in the suspension cuz its clearly a revenge hit and he never turn back after the hit becuz he know what he did and play the innocence card

Strong Chara + Clean Hit + Bad Stancion Design = NHL should suspend itself for never fixing this glaring rink hazard.
