Hello readers-
Later today, I will be posting official guidelines for commenting on this site. In the mean time, please refrain from profanity, personal attacks and/or anything else you would not do/say if your grandmother was reading this site.
While I have been deleting as many violating comments as possible, I cannot keep up with it. If you’re a regular reader of this site and are offended by something in the comments, please inform me through the “contact me” form on the right rail.
Thanks,
MK

People need to learn to separate the human element from a game. Some of the comments were downright awful, but I know I have been guilty of letting the heat of the moment get to me as well. Let’s hope it doesn’t get that nuts around here again.
I have turned off the log-in until I can figure out how you guys can actually log-in. I thought a Word Press account would work.

GR90, it wasn’t allowing people to log in so Matt opened it up to fix the problem.
Also, it hasn’t asked me to log in yet… does the change take a while to go into effect?
Good call, Matt. Thanks for putting u p with all that gruff yesterday.
I have now set it up so that all commenters must log in. This will allow me to block users who abuse the privilege to comment. Sorry if this slows the process for some of you.

Matt, as one actively involved in the back and forth yesterday, I hope I did not cause you headache. I don’t remember swearing or namecalling, but if I did, I am sorry. I do remember posting something early on asking for the swearing to stop. Again, if I was a problem for you, sorry. I am addicted to this site and I will freak out if I can’t be here!

The activity is good, but could be better.

Thanks Matt,
Until Matt officially posts his rules, I hope we can ignore those who violate the outline he has presented and not gratify them with a response.
Good words Matt. I cannot believe the comments from Mr. Hockey and others who hide behind their keyboard. Air Canada should be sued for blatant irresponsibility.
This “incident” has amped up the B’s/Habs rivalry for sure, but not in a positive way. Things will be ugly for a long time. I hope Max gets well soon and is back playing hockey .
Matt – you got to love the activity for the blog though right???
MK I can’t imagine the headache you probably have from trying to keep an eye on the posts. I must admit I fell into the trap set by some people looking for Internet street justice for Max. At the same time, there are some posts out there that use the same name as me so hopefully you can see it’s not. Looking forward reading your thoughts on the game and aftermath.
It’s nothing personal, nor does it have to do with the sport of hockey. It’s a matter of trying to badly hurt someone for a tap in the back disguised into what could be called bad luck by someone who’s not taking the time to go back to where the story starts , and Chara tendency to have a long memory instead of focusing on the game. Chara is way better that what he displays on the ice night in night out. He should start focusing on playing hockey from this point on. His physicality is an asset he should use to deter people from the netminder. Cross checking to make room in front of the goalie seems to be back in style this year and I must say that it does make more sense than not. Zdeno can use his strenght to push not shove though.
In good spirit,
Merci!!
While all smack talking is fun and games, sometimes emotion gets the better of anyone. While I do not think profanity is the end of the world, some comments in the wake of the Chara hit were in my opinion, immature and uneccessary.
Thank you Matt, hopefully this can make the blog and comments fun to read again.
