BOSTON — Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference skated this morning on the TD Garden ice under the watchful eye of strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides.
Ference has been out since he suffered a lower-body injury Feb. 26. He skated for the first time yesterday prior to Bruins practice. Obviously, he didn’t suffer any setbacks. We’ll see in about 30 minutes if he’s ready to join his teammates for a morning skate.
Boston plays Buffalo tonight at 7 p.m.

Good to see Ference back on the ice. We can certainly use some help on the blueline and some toughness. Hopefully this injury bug stays away and he can remain healthy for the remainder of the season and into the playoffs.
