WILMINGTON, Mass. — Some 15 minutes before the official start time of Bruins practice today at Ristuccia Arena, captain Zdeno Chara made his way onto the ice surface.
Chara, who missed Sunday’s practice with flu-like symptoms that had been bothering him for a few days, set himself up at the blue line and one-timed passes from assistant coach Doug Houda. Rookie Steven Kampfer joined Chara and Houda shortly after, and then other players began trickling onto the ice.
The Bruins will practice today and then are scheduled to depart for Columbus to start a three-game road trip this afternoon.
