Rask shakes off slow start to make case for more starts for Bruins
If Rask were playing poorly and losing these games against inferior foes, that would be a major reason to worry. By turning his night around after a dicey first 20 minutesa gainst the Blue Jackets, Rask made his pitch for more playing time to Julien.
It’s important for the Bruins to have faith in Rask should there be an emergency situation in the postseason. How Julien divides up the goaltending assignments over the next couple weeks will tells us where Rask stands with the Bruins’ brass.

Tuukka needs a haircut!
“The only thing harder than being a goalie, is being a goalie’s parent” – Me
He has to stay between the posts and not overplay the pass. His size is an asset when he plays quieter. I think he has the tools to be solid. What works for Thomas doesn’t work for Tuuka. When he learns he doesn’t have to be spectacular to be good he may be just that.
I don’t think he has done wrong by Rask. Rask sucked early in the season and TT swooped in and saved the season
My problem is Rask is that there is rarely a 60 min effort. What percentage of games does he give the first goal? What percentage of those goals are soft? He needs to fix both or he will never be the savior we all think he will be
Youth is not an excuse anymore. He has tons of NHL games under his belt
The (mis)handling of Seguin is a different story
IMO Julien has failed with both Rask and Seguin. Both needed more playing time to be sharp and productive in the early months. To Expect stellar play NOW, is unrealistic.
Well said. I’d like to see Rask and Thomas split the remaining games, provided Rask plays with some consistency. If they need him in the playoffs, I think he’ll step up like last night.
