Once predicted to be back in the Bruins’ lineup for the start of this road trip, defenseman Andrew Ference remained out of action Tuesday but continues to practice with the team.
Today he told the assembled media in Nashville after Boston’s practice that “it’s been good progress” and he’s getting “better each day.” Ference has been out since Feb. 26 with a lower-body injury and he started skating about a week ago.
Ference said he went through a hard skate Tuesday morning with fellow injured defenseman Shane Hnidy. Today he said he did more “quick stuff” down low chasing forwards and doing for game-like actions.
Ference’s availability for Thursday night’s game in Nashville will be determined on game dady.
