Well at least the Bruins picked up two more points this week than they did last week.
That makes it a little easier to find Bruin of the Week candidates — a little easier, anyway.
The Bruins’ recent 1-1-1 week witnessed a coming-out party by rookie Tyler Seguin, who finished the week with a goal and a shootout game-winner. He was minus-1 but recorded six shots on net and threw two hits in the loss at Toronto.
Center David Krejci continued to be a steady points-producer with two goals on six shots on net last week. He also posted an even plus/minus and won 33 of 56 faceoffs (58.9 percent).
In Columbus, Rich Peverley was a hero of sorts with a game-tying shorthanded goal. Over the course of the week, he also registered an assist, an even rating and seven shots on net. He won 10 of 17 faceoffs (58.8 percent).
Adam McQuaid’s week ended in roller-coaster fashion in Toronto, but “Darth Quaider” was still the strongest of Boston’s defensemen. He blocked 12 shots in the three games, scored a goal and was just minus-1.
So I ask my readers:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Tyler Seguin (43%, 39 Votes)
- David Krejci (23%, 21 Votes)
- Rich Peverley (20%, 18 Votes)
- Adam McQuaid (14%, 13 Votes)
