It’s a Hnidy Day practice for full-squad of slumping Bruins
WILMINGTON, Mass. — Happy Shane Hnidy day everyone!
Today is the first day that the Bruins depth defenseman is eligible to come off of LTIR.
The Bruins are celebrating the day with a second straight day of practice. Everyone is on the ice, including Hnidy.
The lines are the same today as yesterday, with Michael Ryder mixing in on the Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi combo.
More later.

Nifty’s got a point. Boston didn’t draft a single one of its current defensemen. One would think the B’s might have looked into a hometown stud like Carlson, but they actually passed on both him AND Del Zotto in the 2008 draft to pick up Joe Colborne.
How do the Rangers get young defensemen like Girardi/Del Zotto or the Caps having Alzner/Carlsson? Oh they draft them you say. What a novel approach. How do you go about that. Scouting? Luck? The farm is barren so who planted this crop?
Welcome back, Sheriff Shane!
I wonder which glyder will warm the bench?
