Only thing Bruins’ Recchi’s guilty of is a little verbal misdirection
All we really know for for sure is that Recchi is clearly a “big boy.” If in fact this was all a con, he pulled off a man-sized fast one. It’s difficult to discern truth from lies in this whole affair, but one thing is undeniable — Recchi is the type of leader that will do anything for his team, and the Bruins’ oft-criticized captain has the respect of one of the all-time great players and leaders. That’s not a trick.

Kevin, get a clue. The grade of a concussion is dictated largely by whether a person loses consciousness.
Look up Cantu guidelines on concussion grades and you’ll learn that Max was between a grade 2 and grade 3 concussion due to his loss of consciousness.
Matt, can you add a banner to this site directing people to some reference on concussion grading so we don’t need to repeat this all the time? lol
Anybody see that Max retweeted a comment by Ed Olczyk’s son calling Recchi a “scummer”? Someone might want to tell the little booger that he’s putting up sub-par numbers on a mediocre Hockey East team, and that Rex already had two fruitful NHL seasons by the time he was little Eddie’s age. No respect.
Brinkley jumped on that immediately too. I think people who played the game knows….
In regards to the two handed baseball swing that Plekaniec landed last night, NESN showed the replay a few times and Milbury was beside himself in between periods and after the game stating that the league should look into it.
Correction: The roller coaster for this team started when Savard took the Cooke hit.
At the moment PC did a good job keeping this team and staff together because it looks like this team has finally become (for a lack of a better term) a band of brothers. But if the Bruins don’t make it past the second round my opinion will change.
This one move earn Recchi his salary. The way he plays the game is just a extremely big bonus. Between last year’s playoff exit and last night’s game this Bruins team has been through a lot. Last night proved they can play an elite style of team hockey.
And for all the Habs fans who said they lost all respect for Recchi, HAHAHAHAH.

I think this proves the kind of intangibles having a veteran like Recchi on your team can provide. Whether he believes what he said or not, I do think he definitely knew he was attempting to get some of the heat off Chara and on to himself and to some degree it worked.
Recchi is an awesome player-sure he isn’t the same player he was 20 years ago, but for a 43 year old he often amazes me at what he can do.

Well, at least Recchi’s admitting what reasonable people knew all along. The medical staff in montreal do know what they’re talking about and he was basically talking out of his rear end. To see most of you run with his comments like they were a fact shows how dumb we and the media can be.
The pleks stick was pretty ugly but if he was wearing black and gold, it would have been a balance issue because he was being hit. Personally, I’d give him a game but I’m just a over sensitive habs fan.
Yeah it looked like Plekanec swung with two hands at Horton’s head. I’ll have to see a replay again, but I’m guessing no suspension.
