A playoff berth and a Northeast Division title were wrapped up by the Bruins, as they went 3-0-1 last week.
And there were plenty of solid individual performances along the way.
Seventh Player Award winner Brad Marchand recorded a point in all four games and finished with 2-3-5 totals and a plus-2 rating. His goal in Philadelphia was the game-winner.
Tim Thomas re-established himself as the hands-down Vezina Trophy favorite with two wins and a shutout. He stopped 87 of 91 shots (.956), including 32 of 32 against Chicago. He lost a shootout to Toronto, 1-0 (with one save).
On the back end, Zdeno Chara was a rock again. His goal, which was his lone point on the week, proved to be the game-winner against Chicago. He was plus-4 on the week with seven shots on net.
After scoring the game-tying goal against Philadelphia, Nathan Horton added one more score against the Blackhawks and finished the week with a plus-2 rating and six shots on net.
So, readers of TheBruinsBlog.net, I ask you:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Brad Marchand (39%, 37 Votes)
- Tim Thomas (35%, 33 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (16%, 15 Votes)
- Zdeno Chara (10%, 10 Votes)
Total Voters: 95

Marchand gets my vote the kid is a pain in the ass to play against and is a breath of fresh air in a uptight league…
Over the course of the season, if Thomas is down and not stealing games, Montreal is 1st in the northeast. Tuuka is still good, but as the number bear out, no one has ever been this good over the course of the season.
I can’t believe Horton’s getting so little recognition. Campbell and Kaberley too. Watch these games closely and watch the exceptional decision-making by these guys. They’re also playing hard, and Campbell and Horton are sinking pucks.
I voted Marchand but this is a week when any of the players deserve a vote. Chara has been playing like a beast lately and I hope he keeps that edge through the play offs.
I am looking forward to seeing Horton in his first play offs and I think he is feeling it-just hoping he takes that excitemnt and turns it into goals.
