Report: Chicago’s chirping at Thornton not all that entertaining

Well, whoever was chirping from the Chicago bench at Bruins forward Shawn Thornton after he was cut by a skate blade March 29 at TD Garden better take some trash-talking lessons before attempting that act again.
Today referee Don Van Massenhoven revealed what he heard said as Thornton was bleeding and trying to leave the ice. Thornton received around 40 stitches for the cut.
“I heard someone say, ‘Get off the ice, get off the [expletive] ice,’” VanMassenhoven said. “I don’t know who said it.”
Wow. Not even a “yo momma” thrown in there. Well we might never know whose brilliant idea it was to chirp a bleeding player. But we know that person is even lamer than first thought.

it’s a subtle different between habs and bruins players.
the former are taught to dive and embellish injuries (miracle max). the latter stay on their skates and get right back up unless they’re knocked out.
unforutnately for the b’s, there’s a price for integrity in this league.
Recchi was 100% right and the Habs organization is full of dogshit.
Thornton’s skate off the ice after a 40 stitch cut was slow compared to how fast Subban goes to the back of the pile and cowers like a little fairy every time he starts a fight that his team has to finish for him.
Are we completely ignoring the fact that everything Recchi said was right? I’m no doctor but something about Savard’s career being over, Crosby missing an entire season and Max Pacioretty… back for the playoffs… doesn’t seem to add up.
Unless, of course, the Habs organization is full of shit. Perish the thought!

Recchi’s explaination was a joke. He made the whole thing up only after he realized how much of an idiot he sounded like. His “I’m a big boy” speech was terrible, and only a moron like you would believe it. It was pretty stupid of Recchi to be insensitive to concussions considering what happened to Bergeron and Savard.
JPT you are exactly why habs fans are a joke. Recchi explained his comments moron. Saying Thornton is a whiner is further proof of your stupidity as a Habs fan.

It was probably Mark Recchi he heard yelling that at him. We all know Recchi doesn’t take injuries seriously and thinks everyone is faking.
