There’s no doubt most members of the Bruins had a hard time focusing last week because they clinched the Northeast Division title last Saturday.
But some guys were able to concentrate on the games at hand in order to put up some decent numbers during the team’s 2-2-0 week.
In running his season’s goal total to a respectable 26, Nathan Horton brought out his physicality last week as well. He finished the week with 2-0-2 totals on four shots on net with a minus-2 rating. He also engaged in an amusing fight with Ottawa’s Zach Smith.
Once a perennial healthy scratch, Daniel Paille now looks headed to a regular role in Boston’s postseason lineup. Last week, he finished with 2-1-3 totals and a plus-2 rating. He also fired 10 shots on net in the four games.
Tim Thomas had a rough go of it in New York against the Rangers, but he bounced back to beat the Islanders and Ottawa. For the week he stopped 82 of 89 shots (.921 save percentage).
Like his former Florida teammate Horton, Gregory Campbell is heading to the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time. He finished up the regular season with 1-2-3 totals and a plus-2 ratings over the course of last week’s four games.
So I ask my readers:
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Daniel Paille (71%, 47 Votes)
- Gregory Campbell (12%, 8 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (11%, 7 Votes)
- Tim Thomas (6%, 4 Votes)
Total Voters: 66

Paille has been effective, he deserves the recognition. Good to see there are some fans out there that can tell the difference.
His skating is what got him here. It’s what he needs to bring to the team. Poor guy though. He’s put together some good games and you still hear that he played crappy before. What have you done for me a month ago syndrome.
I agree TCL could’t have said it better I hope the rest of the guys respond the same way and lets get this party started ! GO BRUINS…ALL OF EM’
I vote Paille. I think he worked himself into the line-up and has played well as a 4th line grinder and penalty killer. I hope he brings that style to the play offs. That fourth line will be dangerous.
