Khudobin, around 10 others to stick around for Bruins depth
While goaltender Anton Khudobin will be the only one joining the parent club for practices during the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, he will be among around 10 “Black Aces” the Bruins will have at their disposal over the course of the series with Montreal.
General manager confirmed that number and Khudobin’s status with the parent club during a conference call today.
The rest of the players from the Providence (AHL) farm club that Boston elects to keep sharp will remain in Providence for workouts unless summoned.
Khudobin will be the third goaltender with Boston after he posted a 9-4-1 record in 16 games for the P-Bruins after a trade with the Minnesota organization. He also posted a .920 save percentage and 2.40 goals-against average for Providence. He has six games of NHL experience and even has one shutout to his credit.

King-
PC didn’t know the exact names yet. He did say Hamill would be one.

so who are the other 9? and does Coach Murray stick around with them in Providence? Do they all get paid a stipend by the Bruins? Things we’re curious to know.
I said it on deadline day to friends, but Khudobin was a very underated pickup. He served P-Bruins well and provides much needed insurance if something ever happend to Rask/Thomas
My guess: Hamill, Caron, Cohen, Bartowski, Arniel, Bodnarchuk to start…
Bo, you’re on a roll with these questions. I’ll blog about that at some point too!

Matt – what’s your assessment of this kid? (I hate to do this before the playoffs but…) Do you think he could serve as a back up to Rask, and thus allow PC to explore TT trades in the off-season?
