Poll result: Paille prolific week earns him an honor
Regardless of who has skated alongside Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton this season, the Bruins have been able to rely on their fourth line to limit its mistakes and pressure the other team on an almost nightly basis.
These days, Daniel Paille has been filling that left-wing slot — and doing it with tons of effectiveness.
Last week, Paille scored two goals and assisted on a third. For his efforts, readers of TheBruinsBlog.net voted him the Bruin of the Week.
Who should be the Bruin of the Week?
- Daniel Paille (71%, 47 Votes)
- Gregory Campbell (12%, 8 Votes)
- Nathan Horton (11%, 7 Votes)
- Tim Thomas (6%, 4 Votes)
Total Voters: 66
A frequent healthy scratch most of the season, Paille played in a season-high eight straight games to close out the regular season. He rewarded head coach Claude Julien’s offering of more playing time by putting points on the score sheet and flaunting a physical side of his game that few knew was there.
Paille’s speed could be an asset for the Bruins in the postseason now that he’s earned the chance to be in the playoff lineup.
Bruin of the Week is presented by Sully’s Brand.

Paille is a good foot soldier, did very well under circumstances I’m sure must be tough to deal with. He’s good on the 4th line, good on the PK, you need guys like him. I want him back, see if he comes back next year….I doubt he would.
Amazing that in the week Thomas solidifies the season save percentage record, he isn’t even star of the week. Not to say paille was bad, but I think the rest of the hockey world is looking at Timmah, not Paille
