Bruins’ Thomas ready to take on anything Habs throw his way
BOSTON — Tim Thomas, as expected, led the Bruins out onto the ice for warm-ups for Game 1 of Boston’s Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with Montreal at TD Garden.
He gets the start against Canadiens netminder Carey Price.
As he said earlier this week, Thomas is ready if Montreal players decide their best approach is to crash the net:
“Usually, it gets me into the game. It’s like I generally have problems with the teams where the people are overly nice to me. It’s kind of weird, actually. When everybody’s just playing hockey the way you need to play to get the wins on both side, it helps you get into the game.”
Here are the Bruins’ lines and D pairs as per warm-ups:
Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Recchi
Kelly-Peverley-Ryder
Paille-Campbell-Thornton
Chara-Boychuk
Kaberle-Seidenberg
Ference-McQuaid

errr, you guys don’t want us to make fun of you for being uninformed fans but you already lost game 1 on home ice. The home team can’t win every game in this series!
I think this one goes the distance with the Bruins advancing with a win in Game 7 on home ice. Home ice is going play a huge role in this series and I would not be surprised if the home team wins each game.
I’m just ribbin ya. I know Thomas is a good goalie. It was turnovers that caused those goals, not Thomas.
Touche.
Except the first shot…
