The Bruins today recalled three more “Black Aces” from the Providence (AHL) farm club, and the team’s captain was not among them.
Defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk and Colby Cohen, as well as forward Kirk MacDonald, were the three call-ups. All will continue to practice in Providence in case of emergency with the parent club. Should that “bat phone” ring, the Bruins are in more distress than probably anyone could save them from.

…and right on queue comes word that Chara was hospitalized and may not play tonight. gulp.
Losing a forward doesn’t scare me, but losing a D man does.
If Kampfer were healthy it wouldn’t scare me quite as badly, but I really don’t want to see Hnidy or Bargkowski or any of the other Dmen suited for a game.
