It’s been a Hart Trophy-type season for Danie Sedin, so it was no surprise he had a huge hand in making sure Vancouver maintained its lead on Chicago throughout the night last night.

Sedin scored two goals, including one midway through the third period, as the Canucks took Game 2 of its Western Conference quarterfinal series from the Blackhawks, 4-3. For his efforts, Daniel Sedin is’s Star of the Night.

Sedin added an assist in the victory, which put Vancouver up 2-0 in the series. The Canucks are now halfway to avenging their last two playoff-series defeats, which were both at the hands of Chicago the last two seasons.

Honorable mention: Eric Brewer (1-2-3) of Tampa Bay; Michal Neuvirth (22-save shutout) of Washington; Ben Smith (two goals) of Chicago; Bobby Ryan (two goals), Ryan Getzlaf (1-2-3) and Corey Perry (1-2-3) of Anaheim.
