Star of the night: Boucher’s bullpen performance brings Flyers even

Boucher/By S. Bradley

The Philadelphia goaltending carousel is turning again.

Yesterday it produced a winner.

Brian Boucher, who last year alternated with Michael Leighton throughout the Flyers’ run to the Stanley Cup Final, relieved Sergei Bobrovsky in the first period and stopped 20 of 21 shots in a huge Philadelphia win in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with Buffalo.

The series is now tied 1-1-.

For his efforts, Boucher is TheBruinsBlog.net’s Star of the Night.

Honorable mention: Pavel Datsyuk (1-3-4) of Detroit; Drew Doughty (2-2-4) and Jonathan Quick (34-save shutout) of Los Angeles; Shane Doan (2-1-3) of Phoenix; Carey Price (34 saves) and Michael Cammalleri (1-1-2) of Montreal.
