Chara, but no lines for Bruins during AM skate in Montreal

MONTREAL — The Bruins had their captain Zdeno Chara on the ice for their morning skate at the Bell Centre today, but they did not go through line drills.

Tim Thomas was the first goaltender off the ice, so that’s an indicator he will start.

Two “Black Aces” Jordan Caron and Jamie Arniel have made the trip with the Bruins and they stayed out on the ice well beyond the full squad, along with Shane Hnidy, Matt Bartkowski, Anton Khudobin and Tuukka Rask.

Tyler Seguin stayed on the ice longer than the regular lineup players but before the “Black Aces.” So whether he plays could be a game-time decision.

While head coach Claude Julien yesterday said he would follow Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette’s lead by not talking about his lineup, today he declined to emulate the Flyers bench boss, who today was willing to speak about his lineup.

“I think I have the option to pick which page I want to take out of Peter’s book. And I like the page from the other day, but I didn’t like this morning’s page. Is that OK?” he said.
