You vote: Bruin of the Week

Poll presented by Sully's Brand

Last week, I couldn’t come up with one single nominee for this honor.

Yet this week, I had too many to include them all.

Once down 2-0 in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with Montreal, the Bruins have won three in a row to take control of the series and move within one win of advancing.

Nathan Horton put them up 3-2 in the series with his game-winning goal in double-overtime. For the week, he scored twice on nine shots and dished out three hits.

There was no one more determined to turn the Bruins’ predicament around last week than Patrice Bergeron, who put points on the board and his body on the line. He scored one goal to go along with four assists and a plus-5 rating. He threw 14 hits and blocked four shots.

While he gave up a couple goals any goaltender would want back, Tim Thomas began to round back into form. He made 44 saves (including a miracle stop on Brian Gionta) in the double-overtime win in Game 5 and for the week stopped 112 of 119 shots (.941 save percentage).

Much-criticized throughout his entire Bruins career, Michael Ryder is making what could be his last playoff run with Boston into a memorable one. His two-goal, one-assist performance in Game 4 included the overtime game-winner. He also blocked three shots on the week, including his amazing right glove save on Tomas Plekanec in the first period of Game 5.
