BOSTON — Bruins head coach Claude Julien confirmed three hours before tonight’s Game 7 that various reports saying Milan Lucic would be available to the Bruins are correct.

And then he gave a sampling of what his message to his team will be before it takes on Montreal in the deciding game of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series between the archrivals at TD Garden.

“It’s the same message everybody would send in a Game 7,” said the coach. “We’ve got to go out there and play, play our game and play to win. And I think what’s in the past is in the past. You’ve got to play for the present. This is a pretty simple message, but that’s the message that you have to have playing in those types of games. You have to put everything behind you and look at what you need to do here to win.”

Julien wouldn’t confirm whether he’d be giving a “fire-and-brimstone” sort of speech.

“You’ll find that out after the game,” the coach quipped.

Well, depending on the result, we might not care.
